The PHP-rendered storefront held a p75 TTFB of 1.4s and degraded sharply during sale events. Catalog pages timed out, and search was unusable above 50k SKUs. Conversion stalled despite increasing ad spend.
Within one quarter Northwind shipped two sale events without scaling drama and grew conversion 18%. The platform now serves twelve million products with sub-200ms TTFB at the edge.
